Raising Hell…

August 3rd, 2009 by Marie

Here I am, posting much more promptly than usual. Work is manic, as usual, but wanted to finally post news of the book Paul and I have been working on for what seems like ages now. Full details can be found on the site, but I’m very excited to announce our anthology, Hellbound Hearts, to be published by Pocket Books in September, 2009. We’ve been lucky enough to get an amazing list of contributors, and a foreword and cover art by Clive Barker himself, who has been incredibly helpful and supportive, as always. Put that together with an introduction by the inimitable Stephen Jones and an afterword by Doug ‘Pinhead’ Bradley, as well as stories by some incredibly talented peopleĀ  (go on, look at the site, you know you want to)…this has been a very special project to work on.

In other news, Danny Stack has just made a short film, Origin - a supernatural drama. You can see full details on his site, but I was very happy to be allowed an Associate Producer credit on Origin - and from what I’ve seen it looks amazing.

We went to see the latest Harry Potter film en masse a couple of weeks ago, and I did enjoy it - although I understand a lot of the book was left out. Understandable, given the fact it would have lasted for days otherwise, but I must catch up with the books; I haven’t got round to the last two yet. I’m currently reading The Lovers by John Connolly, and as always with his work, thoroughly enjoying it; next up is Under The Dome, a review copy of the new Stephen King, due out later this year. Can’t wait to get started on that one.
